We made it!!

We've done a year!!!!!
Did you think time went slowly??
I think time went very very quickly, didn't you??
I can remenbert the day we met first time
like only a few month ago.
but we have already spent about one year
with you since we met.
I think we have a strong freindship with you!!
In this year, I suffered many homework and hard works.
and I had to enter the hospital for the first time,
but I really enjoyed the new like in this University!!
I'm very happy that I could meet you!!

We will be in the second grade next year.
Actually I'm worried about the study,but
I hope I can be still in IESb and do my best!!

Vietnam!!!!
In the hoilday I'm going to Vietnam with my mother and sister!!
This is second time to go on a trip only with 3 women!! except my father...
My father needs to work!!! Sorry dad...

The first trip, we went to Hawaii in March.
We went shopping, swimming and eating, it was really fun!!!
so we planed the second trip to Vietnam!
I've been to Vietnam once but I stayed only a day to transfer the airplane to Cambodia.

We are planning what to do there.
When it comes to Vietnam, it is "Vietnamese food".
Everyone who have been to Vietnam said Vietnamese food
is very very delicious.
so first, we are going to eat Vietnam food!!!!

When it comes to Vietnam, everything is very cheap.
so second, we are going shopping!!!
I like the goods in the Asian style.

and third, we are going to take beauty treatment!!
It is first time to experience the beauty trearment
so I'm very excited!!
now those plans should be carried out!!

I'm very excited but the most exciting person is my mother.
She bought a book about Vietnam and
she has already planed
where we go shopping or where we eat.
She is like a small girl....

Anyway I'm going to Vietnam next month!!
I hope that will be a good trip!!

HW for Adam

The style of communication is different between women and men such as the method to express feeling, the tone and choice of words.

Women make use of various words and methods to express the statement. They also talk harmonically and indirectly because they try to tell a story in an amusing way and also they want to entertain others in their conversation. Women are what are called eloquent. For example, women tend to prefer gossiping about others rather than men. They exaggerate the gossips humorously with the skillful speech and spread them rapidly. While men tend to indicate only the main point directly and monotonously. They avoid unnecessary details or humor. Men are people of few words rather than woman so men don’t more gossip about others than women. Even they do, they just get information or details.

Women also more utilize the gestures than men. They express their feelings or thinking exaggeratedly by means of the gestures. As they meet a friend that they hadn’t seen for two years, they express gladness with gestures. They give big hug and make the face how much I missed you. On the other hand, men don’t tend to utilize gestures in the conversation. Instead of not using gestures, they insist what they want to say directly and appropriately by means of words so when they met a friend after an interval of two years they say to the friend like “How have you been?” or “I really missed you.”

30 DAYS: Straight/Gay man

Ryan, who is a straight man, is a Christian and believes homosexuality is wrong in the Bible. He also believes that love is supposed to be between a man and woman. Ed, who is a gay man, has never had a roommate in his house. Those two straight man and gay man have to live together in 30 days. Before watching, I could guess they would quarrel. If I were in Ryan’s place, I also feel uncomfortable and I would be very confused how I treat gays or lesbians because I hadn’t had the situations to spend most days with a gay man or lesbian.
After watching it, I remenber the lesbians who I have met before and think about them again. I met the lesbians when I was in high school. My school was a girl’s school so we didn’t have opportunities to meet boys and spent 4 years with only girls. In basketball teams there were many girls like boys. They were forced to have short haircut like boys and their characters were really enthusiasm and not like girls. People recognized some of them as boys and some of the basketball players like boys were considered themselves as boys. So some girls really felled in love. I saw that a girl and a girl like boy always folding their hands or hugged. At first I was very surprised but they were proud of their relationship so gradually I had accepted their relation. I think there are many gays or lesbians in Japan too but many of them hesitate to come out. They think If they come out the truth, people around them would not accept and be confused or reluctant to be friends. However I think gays or lesbians who came out their truth and were proud of themselves are really cool and I respect them. If my friends come out they are gays or lesbians, in fact I would be confused at first, but gradually I could respect their coming-outs and I would accept them. Everyone have a right to love people even they are same sex. I think if many gays or lesbians come out their truth more and more, consequently many people think about their situations and accept them more.

Super Size Me
I think this movie....no Morgan is very pinful and honestly I don't understand why he can carry out such a painful project. Everyone know if he practices such a horrible diet, it will be very dangerous for his health and damaged his health or life. As watching it, I felt very painful and wanted to look away, however, through this movie, it taught us how risky people eat fast food frequently. In my case I often eat fast food, because it is very reasonable for us, the students. When I was in high school, I used to go to fast food restaurant very frequently, such as McDonald, KFC or Fast Kitchen, and it was our best place to spend time to talk with friends or did our homework because we can spend time as long as we can. Another reason we go there is that McDonald make us fun. They produces new flavor hamburger about every one month so we go there to try new hamburger or some new products. I think those are the traps to increase the customers for fast food restaurants. They must earn lots of money so they make many atrractive food, extra toys, and make comfortable atomsphere for the customers. Also they target the children to let them come. They use lovely characters in the cartoon or advertisments and make the children attract. For the children, they don't think about their health well but they eat what they want so it's the easyest way to invite the children.
I also learned about our health. I was very surprised that 60 % of American are overweight or obese. I think Americans less consider their diet than Japanes. In Japan we consider our health much more, for example, Japanese food is very healthly, the size of food is smaller than America, we check the calories of the food frequently. I also think the teens think about their body style very much. Through this movie, we need valance meal , this movie proved unvalance and high calories meal make you get sick and damaged your health. And also overwight will be at the risk of your life. We must think it's very important for us to take care of the health!!

Movie Movie Movie!!!
Yesterday Ayumi, Yuri and I went to see a movie!! We would watch "In her shoes " but when we arrived at the cinema, the tickets had already been sold out...we were depressed but we found "Elizabethtown" was played and we watched it instead of "In her shoes". The summary was a man, Drew who was played by Orlando Bloom was fired by shoe company because of his big mistake and in addition he lost his girlfriends so he became terribly depressed and crossed his head to commit suicide. At the time he was informed his father's death. Drew went back to his town, Elzabethtown. On the flight to his town, he met a woman, Claire and later on she would be important person for him. When Drew went back to his town, he was welcomed by many his relatives, his dad's friends and villagers. He knew their heart-warming and how much his dad was
loved. Through the heart-warming villagers and Claire's kindness, his heart damage would be recovered. This movie was very good and made me feel warm in my mind and also Orlando Bloom was soooo cool!!!

Connotation
I would like to explain the different connotation of "teacher". In Japan when we call a teacher, we usually say "sensei". It is very polite and respectable the way to call the teachers and it's normal, however, some naughty students call the teacher "senkou". It is very unrespectable way to call them and the students make fun of the teachers, but sometimes even normal students call them "senko" behind the teachers, for example they say it when they talk about a teacher who they dislike or when they speak ill of a teacher.

Do you believe fortune-telling??
As you know, Kazuko Hosoki is the most famous fortune-teller. Almost everyday she appears on TV and tells famous actors, singers or comedian's fortune. Until quite recently I didn't believe her fortune-telling was right. One day I was in the hospital, my sister gave me one book, it is her fourtun-telling book. First we must find our own star sign which is not your birthday star sign but her original star sign. I found my star sigh "Tenousei"(Uranus) and read my section of my star sign, then.....I was really surprised!! According to her book, she foretold that my star's people would get sick in NOVEMBER because of the accumulated stress or tiredness!! At the time I said I am in the hospital and getting sick now!!! ....and next She recognized my character as I am lazy and selfish.....it's definitely right. She also foretold my next year's fate. she said my fate next year will be wores than this year.....I'm so scared..... I want to believe the good aspect she fortold but I don't want to accept the bad aspect.... Everyone should read her book!! You will be very surprised!!

2, Why is society interested in your intelligence and schooling??

Essentially, intelligence and schooling show what they have studied and acquired and what they are interested in and give a clue what kind of person you are. It might be easy way to know who you are and to ascertain you are adapted to the situation. People guess that the higher levels of education they have, the more efficiently they can work, while If someone have low level of intelligence , they guss they wouldn't be adpated becasue he will not make use of the work, however I think the intelligence and schooling don't show everythings who you are, just one hint to know the person. In the socity of Japan people tend to look only thier schooling or intelligence and adopt to a job. they sometimes don't look thier personality or motivation. I think it is very unfair and intelligence is not only education and schooling.

3, Do you think intelligence is fixed at birth, or is it constantly changed??

I think almost all people's intelligence are constantly changed. I can consider some reasons. It will be effected by the environment, their live or the relationship with people will give respectively feeling or thinking and be many different knowleges, and also the interests or educations are accumulated and get suprior capacity. Their accumulated experiences or knowlege have thier intelligence grow up. Yet a few people have outstanding talent by nature, even they haven't made efforts. Even if we make efforts tremendously, we are inferior to them. They are inherited by their parents or ancestors, however we migh get the motivation to keep making efforts, its feeling can be one of the intelligence. I hope we are all equal.

8, What does being "street smart" mean??

I regard "street smart" as the ability to live efficiently and flexibility. They need to adapt to the situations fast case by case, solve a problem efficiently and think flexibility. To be a street smart, they need many knowleges. If they have many knowleges, they can reach a conclusion fast and even they don't solve the problem straight, they can find other way to solve it with many knowleges. Depending on the circumstance, they live counfortably, that is street smart.

I had a hair cut!!
I hadn't had my long hair cut ever since I was in 2nd grade in high school. I had kept long hair since then but I really wanted to get a hair cut short. Actually I heataited to have a hair cut short but I've done it.
Recently everything is going bad, I got sick, study is not progressing well, and although it's a little thing, I destroied my mirror that is the size of body, it' s something really sacred to me. Even I tried hard, the reslut was bad, so I dicided to have a hair cut for a change. I know even if I had a hair cut, everything will not be going well, just wanted to change my mood. I hope everything will be going well little by little.

I'm back!!!
For 3 weeks I had been absent from school because of an infectious disease. Before the disease was found out, however certainly it was be tired enormously, I thought it was simply fatigue. Yet I went to see the doctor and he told me that I need to enter the hospital. I was very surprised and shocked becasue I had never entered the hoptitals so far and never had a serious desease. While i was in the hospital, I was given an intravenous drip everyday, also blood-collecting many times. I was very very pain. However, one thing that I was enormously delightful is that Ayumi and Yuri called on me!! They brought a Christmas tree and a hair clasp of reindeer, and they made me laugh and surprised. I was very pleased with thier visit.

After I saw "30 Days", I learned that money is very important to make a living. I haven't lived myself so I don't need to pay the payment of electric, water rate, or medical bill. If I say "I have no money", it means I only don't have money to enjoy myself such as shopping, going out with my friends, however, in this documentary they have to pay all of expence of their life and have only minimum wage. It is very hard for them because they might not be able to have food for tomorrow's, and they can't recive appropriate treatment. If I have to live like them, it is very very hard. I will feel stress. If I want to go out for blowing off the strees, I can't go out and become bigger my stress, however, the good aspect of living with minimum wage is that we will think how we will use money and don't use unecessary things. we will consider the important of money again.


If I live by myself, it is very hard and difficult for me. Some of my friends live by themselves. I sometimes hear from them about what they will cook tonight, how much they must keep money this months, or what they will need and buy. They are so indepentent. At home I don't cook, I don't wash my cloths, I don't care how much i use air conditioneer. If I live by myself , I will not be able to use effectually, and always go out for dinner, but throught this experience, i will learn many important thing. I will be able to be independent make me improve my bad habit of being lazy.
I want to live by myself one time.

Japanese gesture

The Gesture Of Breaking With Someone

A common gesture in Japan is "breaking with someone" It is described that one takes both of the index finguers and touch two tips and make a straight line with your index finguers. Then the other cuts off the straight line between the two indexs fingures with a hand which has to be made like knife. The hand is moved from up to down. This gesture means "breaking with you."

However, we also have a method to make up! One makes the same form, makes a straigh line, and the other cuts it off, but this time the hand has to be moved from down to up. It means "make up with you."

This gesture is used by small children like kidding. For example, when I was playing outside, my friend was mean to me so I made the form of the gesture and ask to break with her. She cut off my fingures. At the time we didn't talk but few minutes later we couldn't put up with the silent and we bursted out laughing. This gesture is not serious breaking, but being fun. I think we break with someone seriously, we don't do the gesture.

Katrina

After I learned about the issue of discrimination in U.S, I'm very shocked and disappointed because I had believed that America is one of the most developing countries all over the world, so I didn't expect that they still have many problems of discrimnatin, class,and race and they also had hidden or ignored about the problems of poverty. I wonder why they only saw the terrible situation, althought not black people but same humans died one after another, however, due to this disaster, not only American but also people all over the world has known the issue of them and this disaster gave us an available oppotunity to think about these problems seriously.

What do you friends mean to your happiness??
I can declare that I need friends for my happines and
the existence of friends are very big for me.
I always absorb important things from them and make
them grow up. Only I'm with them, I can smile all the
time, talk anything and forget sad,unplasant or angry
feeling. They give me strong power and make me smile.
When I'm in trouble or get depressed, the existence of
helping me is certainly "friends". They listen my complaint
and give me good advises. If I was wrong, they would
get angry. I feel very happy that I have such great friends!!

What would you be willing to do to make the world
a better place??
I hope I would like to make a more equal world.
Some people have much food and they use money to
go out with their friends, such as shopping, karaoke....,
others can't eat enough food and they live to get food
everyday. They might die a week after, might be three
days after or tomorrow.
Some children go to school as a matter of coures,
others can't go to school even they hope.
There are many unequal problems all over the world.
I never say that we,adavanced country, are happy and
developing country people are unhappy.
I believe we are happy equally, however, there are many
problems that they can't solve themselves in many places.
So we should help them and try to make a more equal world.

How can a long-term romantic relationship contribute
to your happines??
Recently I broke up with my boyfriend because of
some conflicts between us, however, while I had
a romantic relationship, i felt very happy.
I think a boyfrind or girlfriend is a special existence
for you. I just feel happy that the boyfriend whom
I really love sits next to me, listens to my talking,
laughs each others.
The boyfriend give me much courage and enthusiam
to do everything. If he stays by me, I can do my best
even if it is not willing. I can talk anything and show
my weak points. I think I can learn many things from
him, tell him my thinking and grow up eachother.
There is somthing strong bonds between them,
not friends. The boyfriend is a good rival, good listener,
good helper for my life and precious existence.

I LOVE CAMBODIA ★☆

I came back from Cambodia on August 26th.
I had stayed for 7days in Cambodia and for
2days in Vietnam.
In Cambodia there are many street children
and handicapped people who have lost their
arms or legs by antipersonnel mines.
The state of environment was more terrible
than I had expected.
Many people have difficulty making their
livings and 70 percentage of children can't
go to school. I was really shocked the difference
from Japan. In Japan having food is a matter of
course and we can buy anthing what we want,
however, in Cambodia many people
have difficulty having food and they are working
for their family's food.
I felt their strength and warm heart,
on the other hand I felt miserable to us.
We are well off materially but we sometimes
lack of warm heart or enthusiam.
I had many opportunities to meet street children.
They don't have their parents, but they have never
showed sad face.
They always smiled and ran up to me. I can't forget
their smiles. Their smiles are pure, honest, strength
and happy. They gave me much power and made
me get rid of my tiredness. Even they have no money
they look very happy.
The experience in Cambodia made me change my
view of life and gave me many assigment that I have
to think about or learn more.
One thing I felt is that I have to appreciate having
food, going to school, working and being health.
This 9days are really valuable experience and I will
never forget. I want to say thank you to the pople I
had met in 9days!!!

CAMBODIA

I diceded to go to Canbodia to do a volunteer work
this summer vacation!!It was settled recently,
because my dad used to be opposed to letting me go to
Canmodia alone... so I nearly abandond, however,
recently he agreed with letting me go there.
I don't know why he agreed with ??
what's happened to him??
but I really appreciate to my dad!!!
Actually, I have really wanted to do a volunteer work
since before!! This dream will come true this summer!!
The reason I chose this country is that when I go abroad,
I always go to an advanced country and just have a fun!!
But I want to know about developing country and
I sometimes watch TV or book the children there have
pure hearts, even they are poverty. I want to see them and
I thought I might learn something important thing, not momey,
but humanity!! I also want grow up myself. so I decied to go to Canbodia.
I think many of our members are going abord or going a trip.

GION festival

Summar has come ★☆
Recently many summer festivals are held everywhere
and very exciting!!! I know the examination is waiting
, however, on Sunday I went to Gion festival in Kyoto.
It was my first experience to go Gion festival
in my life.
The first impression was hips of people and
it is very hard to go forward and very HOT!!!
On the street, many man shoulder a portable
shrine and shouted!!!
They looks olders but they are very powerful and
the first time in this year I ate shaved ice!!
As for summer festival, it is shaved ice♪

My sister

This is my sister ERIKO☆★
she is two years older than me!!
Do you think she is similar to me??
Some say " you are really similar to your sisters!!" but others say "uh....NOT at all". It is half and half.
when we were small, we often no...ALWAYS had a quarral.
However, since i was junior high school,we have never had a quarral and
became like friends, we go shopping , talk until midnight and we went to Disney Land last year .
I don't think our appearances are similar,but our way of thinking are similar, so I can talk anything and she gives me a good advice. Even now we have a quarral,but we are good sisters!!

This picture is about 6 months ago, it's the time i was in high school!!! Recently the arubum of high school was sent to me.
and I felt very missing them.
About 5 months have passed since I graduated from high school, and 3 months have passed since I started studying at this school. Time went quickly. I can't believe that I have already spent 3 months studying at this school. It's very busy now but I have been enjoying my life at kansai-gaidai, I could make wonderful friends in IES-B and I like this school　very much,however, sometime I feel I wanna back to high school. I remenber that I talked with my friends all the time and always behaved silly. My school was a girls' school so I never care about boys. Even this uni is a boys' and girls' school, i don't care....anyway the time I spent 3 years at high school was great memories. Even I can't meet them so often, I wanna be good friends with them and I wanna make more wonderful memories in university★★

♪Sweets Sisters♪
Two weeks ago Yuri, Ayumi and I went to
SWEETS Paradaise !!!
It is our reward that we have done a hard assignment!!!
It cost 1,300yen and it is free to eat however
you eat but it is limited half and hour to eat.
We started to eat PASTA, SALADA
and SWEETS a lot.
We continued to eat and laugh and
eat and laugh..... I had a stomachache and
couldn't breath because we laught a lots.
One of the favorite sweets of us is " Shiratama"
with bean jum and powdered green tea.
We took many photos with it and others.
Maybe people around us thought that we are crazy.....
I don't care!!! Because It Was Very Very Very Fun!!
After having eaten We were just fulled and felt sick....
But I had a very good time with Sweets sisters, Ayumi
and Yuri!!! Ayumi, Yuri and I named "sweets sisters".
We LOVE Sweets and We LOVE Eating!!!!
but i don't want to be fat.......

I am a lazy student

I am a lazy student.....
Actually I always finish my homework
just in time.
I know it is not educated for me.
I always try to improve it but I can't...
In this week I really decided to finish my homework
by Friday,because I'm going to camp in circle of diving
with Kiki in the weekend.
Instead of talking with my friends,
I did my homework in free time at school.
Now I want to ask myself.
Have I finished my homework??
......Not yet.
This time as well I failed in finishing.
I still have not finished my blurb and writing...
HOW COME????
Maybe I' am also a slow worker.
However, next time I certainly finish
my homework by Friday!!!

8 years old girl Nana and his father were
playing baseball in the living room.
Her mother was a little bit angry about
their playing in narrow space but they
didn't care her anger and continute
to do it.
Her father threw the ball, Nana just concentrated on
coming the ball and hit the ball .
The ball was flying and hit the wall.
She was jumping up .
Suddenly she fell down and hit her head
in the coner of the table.
ouch!!!!!
she was bleeding from her head.

Was she all right??
Her mother wouled be more angry to her father??
What happened between her mother and father???

My Best Friend

Yesterday I met my bestfriend Mibu.
Her school is APU in Oita prefecture.
She is in holiday so she came back to Osaka.
We went to "AMEMURA" in Nanba and had
a great time there.
When we were having dinner, she made a surprising
confession to me.
Mibu had had a boyfriend from Thailand for 2 years.
but they broke up recently because of the distance
between Japan and Thailand and difference from
his way of thinking.
I was very surprised at that.
They had argued many times so far but the next day
they made it up.
However,This time was very serious....
She made a firm determination to finish
this relationship.
I though they would get married ......
I was little bit sad but I can't change
her determination.
I hope she would have much better boyfriend.

My Mother's Birthday

On May 31th it was my mother's birthday!!
Happy Birthday !!!!
She said "Don't write my age!!"
so it is secret!!!!
Yesterday my family went to have dinner.
I hadn't gone out with my family
for a long time, perhaps since I was in
junior high school.
Recently I was getting less to have dinner
at home, so It was very good opportunity
to talk a lot.
After dinner my sister and I gave a birthday cake
to her!!
She looked like so pleased!!!
I hope she had a wonderful birthday!!!
The only one thing I have regretted is that
I had big dinner and big birthday cake,so
I have put on weight......
I really have to lose weight.......

MOKOMICHI HAYAMI

Do you know the hot idol MOKOMICHI??
Of course, you know him!
He came to our university on Sunday.
Kiki and I went to the talkshow of him.
The reason I went there is that I just wanted
to see whoever it is famous.
Fortunately we could sit the third line
from the stage. It was very close from
the stage!!!
When he appeared on the stage, everyone was
very excited and shouted!!!
I did it, too!!!
He was taller and more slender than I had
expected. He was very hot!!!
He talked about "Gokusen", his private, his type
of the girls and so on!!! It was very fun!!
I enjoyed it very much!!
The day I had one more exciting happening.
I came across my friends from same high school.
They are not Kansaigaidai students but they
came to see Mokomich!!!
I was very surprised and excited!!!
I HAD A REALLY GOOD DAY!!!!!!

MY PART TIME JOB

As some of you know I'm working as part time job
in "Yakatabune" which is Japanese style ship.
It runs along Yodogawa river slowly.
The best season is SPRING!!! There are heaps of
cherry blossoms along the river.
The ship runs through the cherry blossoms.
Soooo beautiful!!! All I have to do is just service
smilingly with wearing "happi" like kimono.
Before, I used to work at Imperial hotel in Osaka.
It was just STRICT!!!! Always superiors were getting
angry with me. I was sooo scared.....but working in
Yakata is not strict.
It's much much easier than the hotel.
All most customers are very polite but
sometimes drunken customers make fun of me!!!!
Just i have to put up with it.....
Anyway,this job is quite good for me.
i somtimes get some tips!! It's so luckly!!! YEAH!!!!

Anth try to run away as soon as possible,
but Anth was liced by Golicy.
Anth was very scared and teriously.
